51 CARS ON THE GRID FOR MCS ROUND 1, SIC OFFERS FREE KIDS CENTRE FOR FAMILIES

Friday, 5 May 2023 - Despite the unpredictable weather conditions at Sepang International Circuit (SIC), the stage is set for the 2023 Malaysian Championship Series (MCS) season opener Round 1.

Race 1 is scheduled to commence on Saturday, 6 May 2023, from 1:10 pm to 2:15 pm, followed by Race 2 on Sunday, 7 May 2023, from 9:30 am to 10:35 am.

51 cars will compete in this season opening round, including 5 cars in the Touring Production (TP) class, 9 cars in the Malaysia Touring Car (MTC) class, 10 cars in Stock Production 1 (SP1), and the largest number of entries with 27 cars in the Stock Production 2 (SP2) class. This represents a 30% increase from last year's Round 1, which had 39 entries. MCS continues to cement its position as the pinnacle domestic championship.

The TGR Vios Sprint Cup will feature 19 cars, 10 cars for Caterham/Asia Classic Car Challenge (ACCC), and 21 cars for the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, promising back-to-back action at SIC.

Come and witness the back-to-back action from the MCS, TGR Vios Sprint Cup, Caterham/ACCC, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo. We continue to improve on the Circuit's services - The Kids Centre, located in Corporate Suite 3 at the Main Grandstand, is free and available for families. Children can play, colour, solve puzzles, and enjoy board games while their parents enjoying the races."
