MAXIMUM GRID LINE UPS OF ENDURANCE CARS AT 15TH EDITION OF SEPANG 1000KM ENDURANCE RACE

Friday, 24 November 2023 – The 15th edition of Sepang 1000KM Endurance Race (S1K) returned to Sepang on 23 to 25 November 2023 – the finale to the National Championship calendar, organised by PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (PETRONAS SIC).

PETRONAS SIC recorded the first biggest line-ups of 77 cars maximum grid, attracting entries from neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, India, Taiwan Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. The participants will be competing in two different classes; M Production Class and S Production Class, and GR Vios Enduro Cup continues as the support race for three consecutive years with 13 participating cars.

The hard-fought redemption effort from the Overall Champion in 2022, Tengku Djan Ley and his co-driver, Muhammad Naquib with his maiden win at first ever endurance race are looking to defend the title this weekend.

For this year, the Official Practice began yesterday, 23 November 2023 and Qualifying sessions today, at 11.35am. The race will be flagged off on Saturday, 25 November 2023 at 12.00pm and ends at around 9.00pm around 181 laps in total.

Promoted and organised by PETRONAS SIC, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia (KBS), sanctioned by Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM), PETRONAS SIC is proud to continue its partnership with Yokohoma as the Official Tyre Distributor for the eighth
year with common objective to develop the sports further by elevating the status and image of national motorsports championship event.

The newly renamed circuit, PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit opens its door to the Main Grandstand for free, while paddock entry tickets priced at RM100 are available to get up close and personal with the participants.
